Del Ray Artisans is seeking a visionary organizer to plan and manage its 2012 Summer Art Camp program. DRA’s 2012 Art Camp is July 23-27, 9am – 4pm, with a gallery show on July 28 from 1-3pm.

Art Camp

Dates/Times: July 23-27, 2012 from 9 am-4 pm daily
Gallery show: July 28, 2012 from 1-3 pm
Ages: 8-14

Del Ray Artisans invites young campers to spend a week creating art with professional artist instruction. All artist supplies, as well as lunch and snacks, are provided.

The theme for this year’s camp is: 5 Art Days ~ Different Ways! Each day of camp will focus on one new art medium – and several of the uses for it. (For example: Painting on Wednesday – including watercolors, acrylic and fabric painting techniques.) Students will then have an opportunity to display their work at a one-day only special gallery showing on the Saturday after camp, and parents and friends can talk to the camp teachers and students about their experience.

Art Camp will be at the Del Ray Artisans gallery at the Nicholas A. Colasanto Center, 2704 Mount Vernon Avenue, Alexandria, VA 22301. The gallery is handicap accessible.
